ITEM DONATIONS
BEFORE YOU DONATE
Before the arranged pick-up/drop-off, please make sure to sanitize all used and purchased items. Please also make sure that all used phones/tablets have had all of the data erased (see FAQ tab for links).
DROP OFF
If you are based in Kinston, there are a few options:
Our team in Kingston can coordinate contactless drop-off at a location downtown/near Queen’s campus, for now we will be coordinating by email/phone of Facebook messages (see Contact Us tab). If you are unable to drop-off the donation to our team, we can coordinate a pick-up. Some of the organizations (Street Health, Dawn House and Sexual Assault Centre Kingston) can receive the donations on site. We recommend calling to check-in with their hours as they may be fluctuating and to make sure someone will be able to receive the donation on site (addresses and numbers are under the Organizations tab).
If you are outside of Kingston:
This project will hopefully be long-term, so if you were to visit Kingston (when the stay at home order is over) you could arrange drop-off with our Kingston team or some of the locations (Street Health, Dawn House and Sexual Assault Centre Kingston) can receive the donations on site. Items and cheques can be shipped to the organizations (addresses under the organizations tab) or to our team (please email us if you need this option) if you are comfortable with the costs associated with shipping. Due to the large amount of interest generated by those outside of Kingston, a temporary Ottawa depot has been set-up thanks to a business owner:

We appreciate these donations for our Kingston community and encourage you to consider donating locally. There is undoubtedly a need in your area as well and I'm sure a local women's shelter would be able to receive it as well.
